a tale of two wavy groovy bottles
(pots by Gary Rith, Penny and Buster)
I was thinking 'what if I made 2 bottles the same, but with different wavy groovy aspects? They need to be fired and have a pretty flower stuck in them.
Penny and Buster are both super cuddly. Buster will be asleep and Penny will come along and curl up next to him to keep warm. Tis a bit windy and chilly here today.
The header????? I was thinking I wanted some postcards, and THAT is the design!

The bottles are fantastic... and that would be a great postcard! Love the cat jar!
Very nice. What did you use to make that herringbone imprint on the jar in front?
I have the same curiosity about that pattern. But no matter HOW you did it, it's a winner! I love it.
I love the wavy bottles - I hope we get to see them after glazing.
Penny looks like she's keeping her nose warm. Smart girl. It's snowing here today. Can you make it go away??
Happy Birthday Spike!
Postcards are a wonderful idea,- so many uses. Much better than a business card, to slip into a package of pottery. When someone wants to encourage friends to order from you, he or she can give them your postcard.
Those wavy bottles are great; I like the proportions and would love to see 2 or 3 Alliums or daffys looking at the world from them.
thanks everybody, and what's this about SNOW out there?
The pattern is made with something like a comb. :)
My problem is I always try to relate things and I can't relate the dogs to the wavy groovy bottles .I suppose they are both cute.
Windy and chilly here too. We are ready for spring!!!! Those postcards are a great marketing idea--more eye-cathing and practical that business cards for artists. And that design is cool!
Gary, Vistaprint.com has some good prices IF you find the right link to get there.
Here you go: 100 free postcards, just pay shipping.
guess who did it for me GORD? :)
Those bottles are so cool! How big are they in reality? You know what size flowers should I purchase? :-)
Pretty pets all snuggly. DH won't allow indoor pets. But, it's sensible. He and Farmer, Jr. have really bad allergies. :-( No lap dog for me.
Notice the difference in attitudes between Buster and Penny. Buster seems to be saying, "You want to blog me? I don't mind; take my picture." Penny seems to be thinking, "Another photo...my star is growing..."
