self-inflicted belly-ache
(elephant tea party plaque by Gary Rith)
What motivates an artist?
Today, you know how it is, you kinda gobble lunch while reading a magazine and then you're like ::URP!:: all afternoon with indigestion.
The only cure, really, is cuteness. Like Buster and Penny cuddled up below. Or making a wee little elephant tea party plaque. I am in an exhibit a month from now, and need 3 good wall pieces. Elephants make a good subject for a tea party, I think, because they have that trunk to pour and drink with.

That plaque is great! It has brightened my day, especially after dealing with pubescent hooligans all afternoon.
That is almost TOO CUTE!
Those tea swilling li'l pachyderms were so cute they cured my indigestion too!
Penny looks so tiny!

Of all the many, many photos you post at your header, this one is the best of all. Keep it for at least an hour. If you can manage that.
keep on, keep on with the elephants! hope to see that piece finished.
so cute! And the pups too!
Better than a teddy bear picnic! :)
You know your header reminds me of how my kids look at me in the morning when I wake them up for school.
I *love* the elephant tea party plaque. Fantastic!
those are some cute dogs ya got there gary
That piece makes you want to buy it and decorate a whole nursery around it--unless of course your kids are almost grown--in which case you hope someone else does that.
My thoughts exactly! I was sitting here imagining a child's bedroom with walls hung with Gary's witty, animal plaques. Can't imagine anything more charming.
Guess my Dad was right when he said I'd never grow up! Although, I got a terrible case of 'I wants' for one of those adorable ruffled cups and saucers like that one Maude's sipping from.
Every time I see the plaques, I think you should make them into plates for light switches. How cool would that look on a switch!!
