question of the day: Grace Kelly or Marilyn Monroe?

I have to admit that I am not the biggest Marilyn fan when it comes to the usual question of s3xiest woman. However, I am a big fan of her movie acting: she was FUNNY! Some like it hot??? Hilarious! You love the warmth of her onscreen persona.
Grace Kelly, on the other hand, you think she is a total beauty, but she seems to be cast as the serious actress. Then she is the real life beauty who becomes the princess. And Marilyn ends up dead under sordid circumstances.
Sigh. I like them both, I think Grace is more beautiful, but maybe I would prefer hanging out with Marilyn: she just seems so funny and nice.

I pretty much think that Grace > Marilyn.

I think Grace had more class and sophistication and I find her more beautiful than Marilyn.

But, I do think Marilyn was pretty cool too.

If I were a guy, I'd go for Grace.

I think that Grace was the more classically beautiful of the two (my wife looks a lot like Grace), but I'd certainly love to have Marilyn as a friend. She was totally cool and funny.

I'd almost forgotten how breathtakingly beautiful Grace really was. Classic in every sense. Marilyn, oh, yeah, radiated sexiness and earthy vitality and beauty, no small combo!) but Grace was truly beautiful and more 'come hither'.

Great assessment of both women Gary. I agree that Grace is the more beautiful.

I concur -- Grace the more classical beauty, and you are so right MM was hilarious in some movies (and The Misfits has gotta be one of the most depressing movies).

But, just had to add this dirt: Grace was not as virginal as she appeared. Read my pal Scott's post on FindaDeath.com, and see how many stars she did the horizonatal mambo with:

You definately feel bad about Marilyn's personal life....

Let's not forget that Grace had a rich family to back her and Marilyn was basically self-made.

Grace, but I think you're right about Marilyn being the fun one.

I think Grace is more the classical beauty, and far naughtier than she looks, but... when I was about six, I was given a wallet, just like a grown-up might have, apart from the fact that it was not soft leather, but plastic... And, just like a grown up might have, it came ready equipped with a sweetheart picture.
Marilyn. At six, other boys were making eyes at the local six-year old temptresses, but I had a swimsuit picture of a pouting Marilyn, So hey, If she was my girlfriend at age six, I'll not betray her now with Gracie.
(Although, I was quite taken with Susan Travis, who sat next to me in class).

Mmmmm..... That Red Dirt Mule... Remember, amongst us potters, "muddy" is not a dirty word. Au contraire, it is quite desirable. As is "earthy". Mmmmmm
