the angry clam and the rotten cat

(angry clam gear by Gary Rith)
We have a saying here in the purple house, when someone is in a tizzy: "be clam", a joke on "be calm", get it???? So somehow an angry clam seemed funny. I have a little shell I made into a mold, so this is what you would call a pretty authentic looking angry clam.

Mary comes over soon, and there is only enough flour for either cookies or pizza. I think I'll go with the cookies and whip up something else for lunch, like veggie stir fry and rice. Somebody outta do some cleaning too...

I had a most vivid and horrible dream. I came home and things were wrong. The dogs were barricaded into the basement, someone had defecated all over one of the rooms AND a lot of stuff had been stolen. A burglar who had been watching the house carefully, obviously, and gotten to know the routines, PLUS that classic "I hate you" of the defecation. BLAH! The next dream wasn't much better. In that one I was a little kid and my dad was selling off all our belongings.

Looking below you see Spike, who surprised me by napping on the stove. I guess it is toasty warm after baking. What a bad idea, and now none of YOU will want to come over and have cookies, will you? Then you see Emily and me. She is almost 15 but still loves to go around like a little papoose, like in my not-very-clean vest.
What image am I projecting to the world today?

No warm kitchen is complete without a cat napping on the stove. It's where those purring heat-seeking felines belong.

Have you thought about using the clam mold to make clam-shaped cookies? I bet a shortbread type of dough would work great. ;-) Shortbread at tea-time is soooo good.

I don't think I'll be licking the surfaces of your house...I might end up with a hairball!

I'm so frustrated you don't have that clam cup in your etsy shop! I want one! I also wanted to see if I could order a piggy bank from you. I loved those that you posted about a while back.
