What are you doing after 5 today? As I say, Ben is coming over with Christi to mess around with clay and then open a bottle of bourbon. UPDATE: Sounds like Ben was waking up around 1:30 and still looking for breakfast at 2. They come over Monday instead. Christi tells me, however, that if Ben is once again having a, ahem, slow start, she will come over without him. My plans remain the same.
How about you? Go to comments and tell us all what you're doing after 5 today.

Well, hopefully shortly after 5 my commute will be done and then possibly get some things done around the house for a bit. If I'm lucky my new Girl Talk CD's will have arrived and I can rip them into iTunes.
Then a little later we are heading down the The Main Cup, our local coffee house/restaurant/(and most importantly on a Friday night)bar to grab some eats and drinks and meet up with friends we have not seen in a while. I'm planning on it being a good night!
And though Maker's Mark isn't in my future tonight, I'd put money on my partner having at least one Old Fashioned with it.
Oh, I think you need to reverse that. Bourbon first, then messing around with clay. Just think of the effect it will have on your muse. ;)
After 5: heading home, getting chinese take-out, and checking out our newest arrival from Netflix.
MM Whisky!
After 5pm, I'll be serving a quick supper, taking H-J to a Mardi Gras party at school and then taking myself in for a sleep study.
Friday night is date night - and we happen to have a gift card for a restaurant still left from Christmas, so we're going to use it tonight. And then we'll come home and watch movies that will hopefully come in from Netflix.
Have fun with your friends tonight!
love,
fiwa
Bridget finishes work at 5. Tonight, the boys anf I will pick her up, fly home, I'll drop them off, grab my uniform and Kub Kars, then fly back across town to CFB to help with registration for tomorrow's rally. Home by 9, beer, then bed.
fencing tonight.
Nursing a sore tooth! Hmm, I think that whiskey would help a lot! :D
Going through my kids' backpacks checking if there is any homework. Rinsing out their lunch boxes, drink bottles, and empty lunch containers. I know. I'm a dullard.

Ah, the variety of human experience!
I am most surprised to find that more people are not drinking bourbon and making pots. PUI, pottery under the influence?
Sounds dangerous. We always warn against GUI, Glazing Under the Influence. The outcome can be horrendous. Despite our warnings, it tends to happen often considering our group's fondness for vino.
At 5 o'clock I watch Jeopardy. Then, it's dinner time. Then it's beer and DVDs or something.
Damn I live an exciting life. ;-)
Jay, I really outta introduce you my wild young cousins....
what else is there to do on a friday without celeste but drink myself into almost a coma with gin just like she does every night.
gawd i miss celeste!
At 5 pm I'll still be driving home from class. However, I'll get home around 530. We have a 1/2 done bottle of Crown Royal and a new bottle of Glenfiddich single malt scotch. It's all a matter of choosing which to sample. I imagine the drinks will be accompanied by a chicken breast w/bell peppers and basmati rice in mango sauce dinner and then, perhaps, a movie at home. w00t!
Scratch the above...I just got an email from my instructor and she's SICK. That means I've got the day off!!! I'msoexcited!
After 5 I hope to be having a drink myself. I should just be getting home (barring traffic). Tonight should be a quiet one, finish watching "Horton hears a Who" with the girlies, help my son with his physics project, and with a reasonable amount of luck some quality cuddle time with my lovely wife.
I am going home, talk with Jerry about the Colonel, relax, and enjoy an almost teen-free night...lol
my friends will all be awash in joy this evening!
After 5 I'm relaxing with a bottle of cider after a day in Chester :)
Right this very minute, it's 5:32 in Kokomo and here I sit in the glare of my monitor screen, the evening news telling me all the news I'd rather not hear about in the background, sipping a glass of wine and writing THIS unperishable prose.
Please! no nasty remarks required, I just call 'em as I see 'em. And maybe I should knock off the wine.
I slept! The clock struck 6:00 pm (quittin time at Petfinder) and I immediately threw wood on the fire, snuggled into my bed, and slept until 8:30. I therefore saved the money I would have spent on gas and wine had I driven into town (and probably dinner out) and my cats were very happy. I'll go have playtime at the Chili Cookoff in Ithaca tomorrow.
