totally busy day, and where are the Cardinals?

(pots by Gary Rith)
I just turned the heat way up in the studio and sat there fiddling and fiddling today....The tall pitcher is indeed quite tall. I had this large chunk of lovely reclaimed clay---I spread out my scraps to dry a bit then wedge them like 400 times, really, so the clay is lovely---and I decided to use most on a big and plain (no pigs etc) pitcher. Then I used the rest on another cow over moon teapot, and of course wanted to do more hippo things (you'll see fired and finished tomorrow!) and my pal Baseball Mom wanted to see baseball mugs, and isn't that a clever idea?????
Just ignore the crabby clams. You don't have to be crabby, even if it is 10 degrees and windy and icy and snowy outside my window.
You won't see a photo here of the flock of Cardinals I photographed outside the studio window eating seed. They came out like red blurs darnit. Oh well, you know what a Cardinal looks like.

I surely do hope what Nancy says is true, and you ARE making lotsa clams, or simoleons, or moolah, or whatever that stuff is called, lettuce? THAT sounds good, and fits right into your dietary restricions, too, huh?

I <3 me some crabby clams! And you did a beautiful job with the non-decorated, sans-piggy pitcher.

And, may I say, THANK YOU for giving my eyes a break. This new colour is avant garde without causing spontaneous retinal detachment. ;)

This is a great color. I liked the last one too, in an OUT THERE way.
