like crumbs on the floor and helping to give birth

It is a well known fact that my Super Bowl predictions are never correct. Like I figured the Patriots would lose in 2002. And win in 2008. I was wrong about everything last night, except the winner at the last minute. Oh well!

I found a lottery ticket in a snow bank yesterday. I think its a winner. A few bucks. Let's see if the grocery store says I am right.

So, listening to news this morning I am once again struck by how the baby boomers had a big party, economy wise, and us here in generation X are left with the crumbs on the floor. We shall have to do what we did the last time those losers ruined it for the younger folks, and invent punk music or facebook. They seem like a greedy bunch, the baby boomers, and generation X has had to develop a good sense of humor to follow in their steps.

So, Missus Tastycake has embarked on a study of poetry at the highest level. We shall see where it goes, hopefully it goes on and on. But there is not only homework this week, but a paper, which has to be presented. She has not taken a class in about 16 years, but she is still a good student, although, ahem, reminscent of giving birth, with the screaming, cursing and wailing that goes with writing a serious paper, and the whole household, ahem, well, doesn't suffer exactly, but can't ignore it either. I like being along for the ride. Stimulate my limited brain. But then I dreamt all night long that it was the last minute and I had to write something about Shakespeare. Phew. Glad I don't.

Have a look at some pots.

I predicted the Steelers to win 27-17. At least I got the "27" and the Steelers win parts right. I would have lost money if I had been betting though. Steelers didn't cover.

I really don't know the first thing about poetry. Wouldn't even know where to begin writing or reading it.

Cute piggies!

Writing poetry for a class assignment where the instructor critiques my every word and nuance? OUCH! (Been there, done that, my ego didn't like it)
Writing poetry for pleasure? Wonderful
Reading poetry for pleasure?
Even better (like holding a baby without having to give birth to it)

I am so past that birthing stage of life.
I wish Mrs. P luck! I know she has the brains for it.

Part of me would like to go back to school (working at a Univ has it's perks), but the rest of me screams in horror. School was a arduous journey for me. I did well in my interest classes (photography, assorted show classes), but most of the mandatory ones were terrible.

I just read instead of going to school. :-)

Mrs. P will do just fine and you both know it. :-D

Tell Missus M that I wrote my first paper in 18 years just last semester and while I fretted about it a great deal, I actually scored 100%. Can you buhlieve it? With a little luck and a lot of effort, she'll kick butt. Besides, she's got all kinds of brains...she married you, right? ;)

Your new header - only an artist can do this without being made out to be....can't find the word...so you'll have to fill in the blanks -
tell your wife that I told her, "give it three weeks!" (that's what I told my hubby in Sept. when he took Photoshop-been away from the class room for more than 20 y. - he did fine!)

That cluster of piggies is very charming,- each one is a definite individual. They look really cheerful and good-natured.
