it was a dark and stormy night...

It was 52 degrees INSIDE my studio yesterday morning. A wee bit cold. Below zero outside. I was busy though, and got a load of heart mugs glazed and fired (studio is still warm now thanks to the kiln finishing yesterday evening) and a quick peek in the kiln shows a nice bunch of stuff. Unloaded later.

There are many things I need to do today and I am NOT in the mood for any of it. Perhaps I shall be a free spirit and do as I wish.
(hahahaha! I do what I wish every day!)

I am entering a teapot competition in Chicago this month which is held every year. I visited it at the gallery years ago--teapots 125-500 dollars, all bright and cute and fun (that's what I do too!), which is the theme. I have entered twice and not been a winner, but I am thinking this year I have a good chance--even though I can only send 2 entries, and merely entering costs 25 bucks....

(new zebra teapot, really big, fiddling with some underglazes, heart candle holders and 2 double heart mugs)

I love your Zebra motif. I have some friends from SA who would adore a set. For their wedding present the parents bought them a male and female wild zebra to release into Krueger NWLR. They even named their company Arbez And their motto is "change your stripes."

Back to cool teapots... Do you know Tim See? Have you seen his Steam Punk stuff?

The candle holders are so cute! What a great and romantic Valentines Gift for someone! You just keep bringing it!

You know my vote already. You know which tea set I think you MUST, absolutely enter. And, then you can enter the zebras too, cuz they are very nice and quite unique!

Happy Saturday (52 degrees inside!!??? I couldn't stand it. Poor you and yours. Pour Lis and hers.) brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Ha-ha - I love the Snoopy reference! :)

The zebra teapot is awesome - I can't wait to see it glazed. I hope you win with it.

the word verification word was "upmation". I don't know why that tickles me...

Oh, that zebra teapot, all the panache of Maxine combined with a dash of Phyllis Diller! I absolutely love it. I get the overal impression of zebra, of course, but it's the ATTITUDE! Lots of that. Really love it.

I *heart* those tealight holders!!!!!

Your zebra teaset really must be entered. You know my other faves: the green teaset and the 3 happy piggies on the blue teapot. I can't imagine anything taking the prize over those!
