le afternoon

(pottery by Gary Rith)
What a totally fun afternoon. I got the last state quarter I need for my book (HAWAII!) and was at the Cornell studio making doggy things and glazing and gossiping with my pals, then came home to THIS gorgeous sight: a perfect kilnload of heart mugs and such. More later....

Congrats on finishing the quater collection. Seems like only yesterday the new coins were being introduced...

Oh, no! All the quarters are out?? We are missing quite a few.. how did that happen?? Sheesh. A person tries to collect 5 of each and FAILS.

Good thing that is such a pretty sight inside your kiln. :)
I spy a lizard and a piggy!

We're complete, too. But it does seem like it wasn't that long ago that the coins began, does it?

Another chapter closes. And now I can send the final set to a friend and have our own complete.

I am still missing two of the quarters--have been watching for them for quite a while...SIGH.

Those heart mugs are so nice... I plan on ordering a couple, you know. One for me and one for a gift. Shall I go thru Etsy? Or shall I just email you? I would like the deepest, darkest blood red color. :)

How cool would that be? A yellow and black striped mug with a honey bee inside or on the rim or on the handle? That would be cute for spring!

FYI, I have one of those heart mugs, y'all! [BRAG-itty-BRAG-BRAG]

And, I even have a candle holder to match! :-D
