my beloved pickled beet said to me today...

Today my beloved pickled beet said to me:
"...make me late to breakfast............"

followed by: "NO DON'T BLOG THAT!"

Blogging gets me into trouble sometimes, yes indeedy, and I am sure that when she see this later today I will have to sing love songs and pour her a tall glass of wine and draw her attention to something interesting I heard on the news....and hope that I can distract her. My parents (remember their dog last week?) look at this blog once or twice a year and were NOT amused about my joking about their dog. I tried very hard to be positive and keep the dog happy, but my jokes were not appreciated by them. The only thing to do is tell MORE jokes.....

Well, if they can't take a joke?! The dog was cutely adorable; he didn't look like a vegan though. ;-) LOL!

Yes, your "sweet Beat" is going to have a thing or two to say about that. But, it is so cute I'm glad you blogged it.

Y'all are such an adorable couple! Love your little family!

I'd say you'd better look at ALL the news channels and find the BIGGEST news story. You're gonna need something drastically interesting to get her thoughts in a different direction, Gary.

I'm sorry about your parents. I hope they take a second look and see the humor that was intended. Do they also read the 'comments' when they come here?

Sun is out! It's a beautiful day!

Dear Mr. Pottersblog,

It is 7:30 and I have already seen this. Bit early for a tall glass of wine . . . good luck.

potterman, make sure to get the most expensive, tastiest wine you can find. and give her jewelery just to be on the safe side.

I have a coffee mug that says that very same thing...

Oh, you are in TROUBLE now!!!

(I hope Maude likes pickled beets.)

So far, no one in my extended family reads my blog. I hope to keep it that way, even though my motto has been to only write what would not embarrass me in front of my beloved MIL.

I'm hoping Maude starts her own blog...
