swirly calzone thing
SO, my pal Farmer's Wife suggests taking bread stick dough and making a stuffed spiral somehow, and it looked like FUN. Me and my little lemon drop make pizzas every Sunday because we have time. I wanted to try the spiral.
I basically took my pizza bread dough which is made with 2 tsp. yeast, 2 cups flour and one cup water with a little oil and sugar, and sauteed some onion and peppers and tried to cram it all onto a long strip of dough and then roll it around. It was a little messy looking at first, but dang, it baked up beautifully and was wicked tasty. Talk about playing with your food!!! My sweet little lemon drop took the pics and made the salad...
