A customer of mine from Texas traveled through Britain in July and she brought along my piggy pencil. You have followed my wee little piggy on their shared journey through Yorkshire etc....and now they finish their travels and come home to rest....

Percival is quite the ladie's man... even if they are six feet under!

Although Percival the Pink Pottery Pig was somewhat misbehaved at times, we were impressed to see his literary aspirations, sitting as he does, atop a pencil, it is perhaps not so surprising he is an admirer of those Bronte ladies.

It did not fail to grasp my attention that Percival was naughtily enjoying bosom rides.
However, when, in Runswick Bay, he met the leader of the gay meerkats, he opted not to clamber down to Port Mulgrave with us, but to go out with his new pals on their harleys...

One point in the post that I must correct. Percival has opted not to return to Texas, and has applied to become a citizen of Yorkshire.

oh geesh guys,

this is the best laugh i've had all day, reading your comments. percival was inspired by the delightful french film, Amelie' and its garden gnome. he is, indeed, a very cultured pig!

soubriquet is correct. Percival has opted for the lush green dales and heathered moors of Yorkshire. I think it was the white rose of Yorkshire that persuaded him to stay .... that and some frisky 'wild hog' riding meercats!!

thanks for the smiles,

Lucky Piggie! Quite a ride he's got going on there ;-)

That's two mentions of Flat Stanley here, a character I've never heard of. However, I do recall Flat Eric, a muppet-like character who appeared in a jeans advert in england.... maybe in the U.S. too.
I liked Flat Eric, so much that I'm going to post him over on my Blurg if I can find a youtube of Eric groovin' to the beat...

Percival? He's out in the landrover right now, I think he's drawing. I told him not to mess with any switches or levers.

--Flat Who?

Never heard of him... Whereas Flat Eric?!

Gratuitous Flat Eric clip on my blog!
Boomboomboom!

Oh, and a backlinky thing to here too.

Does Percival have the address of his sibling here?
Oh damn. I left him in the Landrover... Well, I told him, you just sit there and do your drawings for a while, don't touch any switches or levers.....

Oh blarp. I didn't see the blog owner approval thing, I thought I'd failed to hit post, now I've done it twice. Gleargh!
