you kinda LOVE summer, doncha?

Penny is so hot, she sleeps under the table. And summer, really, is a brief thing here in the north, with winter just hanging around ready to pounce at any minute.
Alright, so the plan is to go to the Chapterhouse bar and drink cold beers in the AC and meet up with all the friends, but crapola, thay don't open till 7 on Sunday? Since when?
Vodka martinis are super cold and super welcome, on my back deck. One day you turn 43 AND Suddenly you find yourself drinking martinis.....

Soub and I had a long sweet discussion about what your winters must be like cause you know, we're pretty envious of your set-up.

But I've lived south and then south of south all my life, so the thought of winter CHILLS ME !! He, on the otherhand is up for anything as he has lived in Iceland and Finland. Right. I'd test both of you in 100+degree heat with the humidity at 85% .... who's hugging the cold tile floor now, huh ??

Make mine an apple martini with vodka .... never had one but they look TASTY !!

Mmmmm - an apple martini sounds so good and refreshing!

Yeah - I'd be hugging the cold tile floor in a heartbeat!

It was 98 here yesterday, Gary, with high humidity. Jim and I went to run some errands and dashed between the car and the stores quickly. It was so hot you could smell the tar melting in the parking lots!

It isn't really that snowy HERE. Much worse a little closer to Lakes Erie and Ontario or on hillsides and mountaintops---and they can get 2-3 times as much snow as us.

My cats have their summer routines, too. They sit nearer the A/C unit or splay out on the floor, though they still both like to cuddle up to me whenever possible :)

Since I'm only 41 I haven't turned into a Martini guy yet. I still drink beer and shots of tequila. Okay, and maybe some good bourbon or Scotch.

I'm 43 and I wanna drink with Jay! But when we drove past the Chapter House I nearly made SuperDad stop the car so I could run in and take a picture (and have a beer, of course... but that would be mean, leaving kids in the car...)
