first day of school!

Well, no, not really first day, but it almost feels like it. Students are crawling all over town, classes begin for Cornell students next week, for my pottery students at Cornell Septemeber 6.
So I prop the missus up in front of the house and she sez 'first day of school!'. She is involved in getting some kind of graduate something at Cornell which we figure will take 17, scratch that, 16 more years. What's the hurry? But look at my flowers in the pots, eh? Marigolds and sunflowers!
I wanted house pics because I saw Pauline blog about a person who makes clay houses that are so cute, and decided to make our house as a big relief plaque. It is coming along really well, see below, and tis rare I just make something just FOR ME.
Wait, not true, I made the banana blueberry bread below that just for me. And she.
BTW--I really liked the glittery chick with the dragon up top, but I really like switching headers even more....

When I was a kid, we would do a 'first day of school photo'... my Dad would make us hold a little sign with the year. :)

That is a nice little relief. I should make one of my round house.....

Me and the missus both had first day pics too, which is why she yelled it out....

And the bread looks pretty tasty!

Lovely! Your sunflowers are gorgeous - I couldn't get mine to grow this year, thanks to the bunnies who ate them down to the ground. The plaque is super-cool, too!

Didja see me? I was just right outside your house!
Well, in virtual reality, anyway, courtesy of google earth, streetview pics.
Damn, I wish real travel was that easy.
I'd be begging a taste of that banana blueberry bread, throwing toys for the beagle.
It looks like a nice street to live on.

I'm sending you a bill for drying out my keyboard. That picture of your banana blueberry bread is soo tempting I drooled all over the keyboard and now I'm afraid I've ruined it. A many-talented guy, is Gary! And all of 'em good!

I love when you talk about your life there ... and it is always so sweet to me that you love your house so much. Warms my heart (or maybe it's the antibiotic and Vicodin I just took for my bad toothache)

:-)
