post 1000!

(Me, the missus, Penny the Beagle)
As readers who have been here awhile know, this is my second blog. In September I filled up my original blog with 3,333 posts and a lot of photos, baloney and Beastie Boy videos. Then I started filling the memory on this new blog, and now we are at post 1000 and there is still plenty of baloney here and the storage, if you can believe it, is already over 50 percent full. So in about 8 months I will reach approx post 2000 and have to start another blog 'cause this one will be full. WooHOO!
And this is how you do it----a dozen pics of nothing much, just a wee little walk with the beagle. OK, almost 5 miles along the East Hill rec trail, a former rail bed near us following Cascadilla Creek, just off the Cornell campus, and Queen of Tarts fabulous cafe is RIGHT smack in the middle, OH JOY!!!!! You hike, you EAT.

Congrats, Gary!

You had sun today??? All we got here was clouds and a temporary moment of sun.

Looks like you all had a great hike!

Gosh! I love posts like these with all those beautiful pictures. When you and Lis post pictures like this, I want to jump in the SUV with the kids and drive on up there! (Hubby'd come, but he'd be disgruntled about the long@$$ drive) :-)

And, I notice y'all are outside.... Not bundled in neoprene! LOL!

Summer must be coming to Ithica too!

Now you have a kiloblog!

Conga-rats! (Picture a line of rats dancing, nodding their heads in approval!)

I went ahead and purchased myself the inchworm mug in celebration, and in reverence for caffeine.

Cheers!

Well, I don't know how you do all that you do, but gotta say I'm shore glad you do! The blog is great fun, with lots of good stuff all over the place, your lovely little Tastycake is adorable and Penny and the felines lucky, photogenic, patient and so sweet, too! Long may you all wave and pot and take hikes and all the good stuff!

What lovely hiking country you live in, too, Gary! My hiking days are long behind me now, but I'll never forget exploring a huge meadow full of deer in Shenandoah Valley and almost stepping on a precious little fawn, all curled up in a tight little circle in a tiny little hollow, who didn't blink, didn't breath, no startles, just totally still, right where mama had left him and told him to behave. She watched every move I made from about 1/4 mile away. A wonderful and greatly treasured experience! I have a picture to prove it and coo over, as well. Up close and personal! Talk about hearts going io mph! Mine sure did.

Lovely, lovely walk/hike! Please tell me you don't have ticks up there! (Or at least, no deer ticks carrying the dreaded Lyme Disease)

I still have 83% of my storage left. I can't imagine posting more often (well, okay, I can IMAGINE it, but I certainly can't manage it)!
