oval

(vase and mug by Gary Rith)
So I mentioned and showed down a couple of posts how I am sorta messing around with the idea of chopping out the middle of a round pot and pushing the pieces together to form an oval. The teapot looked good. Then this mug looked pretty good, but best of all is this vase and I think that is the BEST use of this idea.

Beau-u-u-u-tiful vase, and your elephants above are wonderful blown up big so I can see them, love how that blue glaze breaks to gold.

I'm impressed (but then again, your work tends to impress me on an ongoing basis), so I decided to FW your blog url to my brother.

"He's talented and driven, but his sense of humour makes him special" my brother commented. Add one regular reader ;-)

That vase looks like a great idea. Make a coffee mug just like it so I can tank up on joe in the morning. Those little mugs just aren't big enough for my coffee fix.
