LAURA checks in

(Laura with a ducky mug)
Ever had one of those brief moments where you come home from walking the dog and the ALARM on your stinking kiln is going off which is a nightmare but I reset it and it fired fine but then you throw a teapot and you're rattled and it falls down (that never happens!) but then you make another and that's fine but then you notice a glaze flaw on an item you're about to ship out and it has been a TERRIBLE 20 minutes with these 3 things, but you know? You deal with it. And your cold and stuffy nose? You drink a lot of grape juice and you deal with it.
BECAUSE this is why you keep trying when things get tricky: Laura was pretty excited when she received her ducky mug. THAT SMILE is why you keep on going until you get it right.

Glad you're feeling better! You're kinda the poster boy for optimism and good humor, so you gotta keep keepin' on!... I had my first full day in the studio yesterday after my long bout with work -- and right in the middle of throwing a large piece (on a piece of tar paper), it flew off the wheel, hit me on the side of the stomach and landed on the floor! I was ready to cry but, hell, it was pretty funny in the end. I was the only one around to enjoy the scene, so just had to laugh.

WhaddayahXpect? Mercury Retrograde and a New Moon, Both!!! Plus the Cosmic Muffin or somebody like that babbled something about Mars turning a bad angle with something-or-other. It's hardly worth getting outta bed.

Aww... I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. Maybe you just had to get all three of the bad things over at once so you could move on.

I love that picture - it's darling! I can't help but smile just looking at it. :)
