this whole reunion thing

(click on pic for BIG VIEW)
I did a little digging. I am not a hoarder or keeper of stuff, and there is very little of my childhood kicking around. My mom probably has some of my stuff from when I was a kid.
Best I can do for high school is my football team picture from 1981. I was and I am a little squirt, one of the smallest on our team, but I started at right offensive guard and played 3 years in high school. Just knock the knees out of the guy across from you. Worked every time. Our teams were well known for being terrible and many of the guys smoked doobie or got drunk before games. Didn't help our record much.

I never would have picture you as a football player, Gary.

I heard about a high school basketball team in Ottawa on the news last night: the players have such a history of misbehaving, arriving late for practice and cutting class, that they've been withdrawn from competition this year.

hehe! I was a high school scoccer player, shhhhh! it doesn't meld with my hippie, artsy persona of today, huh? Ah, how we change.
Hey, come on down, me and RLL would love to be in an art class with you!
And anytime you wanna host a pottery class for us bloggers, I'm THERE! my bag is packed and waiting for the word! ;)

Okay, that is TOO funny- I'm going to need to send that link to John Kim! (Actually, he might dispute your claim about the skinniest...)

MY memories of the football teams were that 1) they DID really suck 2) I HATED that as part of band, I was FORCED to play at games, freeze my ass off through games, and wear an ugly uniform with q-tip hat. I also remember that during my senior year, the team won its first game in TWO YEARS I think and everyone was DELIRIOUSLY happy- it was like we had won the Super Bowl or something. GO BILLS!

I think you were a hunk! (I graduated in 1983!)

Come on down! I have a big kiln that I haven't hooked up since the move. We can all play in clay! Wouldn't THAT make for a fun HNT shot! LOL

Didn't you have another 'class' photo of some kind with another one of your friends in it too? Hummmm. I think you posted it sometimes last year. Was it with Denis??? I can't recall.

My memories of the football team were very similar to Liz's, also being a band geek. I laughed so hard when I read her post.

I totally forgot that you were ever on the team. Todd Simpson, John Kim, what?! OK Dave Howlette I can see... What is the name of the first guy in the 3rd row from the front? I think he was in Fiddler on the Roof? Was it Andy sumptin' sumptin'?
