s-n-o-w

My parents are deep in the woodsy hills and are getting dumped on by snow already. Still rain in Ithaca, but ch. 9 tells us:

Tuesday:
Rain changing to snow around dinnertime. Over higher elevations it will be snow all day. 3-6 inches over higher elevations with a coating to a couple inches over lower elevations.

Oh - that's me, Gary.

Seems this weather is throwing me off a bit . . .

BRRRRRRRRRRRR!

It was 43 degrees here this morning! But, beautiful and sunny!

I don't like it cold. A little crispy? Say 70 with a light long sleeved blouse?

That's as cool as I like it. Accept for November through Christmas. :-) Then, I prefer it in the 80s +++

Happy Tuesday, again!

It's heavy rain, here. But driving through town this morning, we saw a car with 3 inches of snow on it. It must have come down from Sullivan County (Liberty/Monticello area, or there abouts). 42 degrees, right now. But it's a cold/damp 42.

The Farmer's Almanac is calling for a cold winter this year. I forget what the snowfall is like, but I'm tending ot believe them more than the science-types these days.

I love when they say this, "Rain changing to snow around dinnertime"...don't know why!

Just watched The Weather Channel: the experts are calling for up to a foot of snow in your area overnight! "Get those candles & generators ready." Oh yes they did say that.

We're even supposed to have a rain/snow mix after midnight and into the early bus-stop hour. Hmmmmm...

[Still fighting my computer, still can't download pics from my camera or log in to some programs. Ran a scan: 97 minutes later, NOTHING. Grrrrr....]

Ugh.. we're expecting a bit of it overnight too. I'm NOT ready for this. Where did my summer go?

Hilary and Gord are on the north side of Lake Ontario, which is fairly clear, me and Kate are down wind, and all that moisture is blowing toward us, off of the lake..............
