SOCKS AND THE CITY

I met new people today, and they now know this blog. It is embarrassing to admit, when there might be new readers here, that I just watched Socks and the City, the movie. It is entirely new to me, but I think the wife found it amusing.
Me? "Which character do I hate the most? The least??" I asked myself. Definately Miranda, YUCK. Carrie? Ugh. Kim Catrall's character is funny and loveable though. And has a cute little dog!
Overall? 3 out of ten. Plllbbbt.

I think I read that on the news today.

Man in NY first man to watch Sex and the City the movie. Fellow men stunned and scared they are next.

Not a lot to recommend a movie, I'm thinkin'! I can find cute dogs by the gazillion anywhere on my block and you always have a fresh pic of the one that melts my heart more than any of them, that sweet-faced little Penny Girl. What a doll! I think there should be some sort of special award for dogs like her who are super blessed with patience and poise and peacefully put up with the weird stuff their masters dream up to feature them for the entertainment of their readers. Long live the Pennys of the world for they are a blessing! And sooo darn cute!

I saw the movie with a girlfriend that I've known for 30 years, so we appreciated the friendship aspect of the show. It's not one that I'd bring my fiance to. He's not one for the chick flics.

It's definitely a chick-flick and much better when you followed the series. I am impressed you took the "plunge."

I've never seen it, or any one of the shows. Our typical night of rentals would be first we watch the mutual selection, then my wife falls asleep and I watch the eclectic one with subtitles, then the next afternoon while I'm playing outside with the boys she will watch the chick flick. This is how I've been spared from having to watch Beaches, Fried Green Tomatoes, Terms of Endearment, How to Make an American Quilt, Mermaids, Steel Magnolias, Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya sisterhood, The Sisterhood of the traveling pants, and the list goes on...

Hey Big G Daddy Man? You left out the part about the, um...sox... That happened in the City!

Cuz' you know you liked the sox part. Men do.

Even my DH. Yes. MY DH...watch it. He caught bits and pieces as nothing else was on. But, he enjoyed the bits and pieces he caught.

Cuz' we saw it on PPV and he said? Oh, I've seen that. It's all right [for a chick flick] I caught....

bits and pieces. LOL!!!

I think I stalk you the most. But, I don't stalk...cuz' I'm here and all. But you post a lot during the day.

And, I'm all loyal that way.

:-D Happy Sox Saturday/Sunday!

Sure. There was socks, and there was also SOX. But have I mentioned I hate the characters? Except the lady with the dog...she is funny.

I love Sex and the City!! BUT I CAN'T BELIEVE you watched the movie!! Especially since you never watched the TV show... Michael tried (TRIED) to sit through one episode and didn't make it... there's no WAY he'd sit through the movie. :)

I'm pretty sure that under the right conditions, I could sit through it.

Comatose would do it.
