a somewhat eventful afternoon

So, I have just arrived at the Cornell University Pot Shop this afternoon and I am fiddling with the radio, which will ONLY play 'songs of inspiration and hope from the family blahblah network', ahem, and huge alarms go off in the ancient stone building which houses the Pot Shop and I am like 'OH MY GOD ITS MY FAULT FOR FIDDLING WITH THIS POSSESSED RADIO' I really did. It is a most pleasant day, but 3 fire trucks arrive and serious looking dudes hop out, dress up in the gear with the oxygen and the pickaxes and run in. 3 minutes later the guys walk out. The driver of the 2nd truck sez 'HEY GARY!!!!' and it is my rather awesome buddy Trevor who lives across the street from us. He let me take this pic, after he said he was IMPOSSIBLY HOT (I bet). he said that although the students are gone, the dining room kitchen ovens were on, but there was no food in there, and so a heat sensor blew. Ahem, let's be careful folks, and save some energy bills too? (the heat was blasting inside the studio too, although a very warm day outside).
So I made these cute little pots.

I wondered why that handsome fireman was so politely smiling and willing to have his photo taken! (at first I thought...WOW! Gary sure has a way to make people stop and smile!)

Doesn't matter - Trevor is very nice on the eyes... ;)

So you actually thought that your radio had something to do with it???

I did think the radio was the reason!!!
Trevor is terrific. AND he has a wonderful wife and little girl and a golden retriever. But anybody would be lucky to live by them, totally wonderful.

Wow, that was pretty scary. Glad it wasn't as bad as it sounded. Glad you're safe.
And, believe it or not, I could see how you might think the radio was the reason! LOL
Yes, your friend Trevor could make a fireman's calendar very easily. :)

I can't believe you pulled the fire alarms just so they would have to send two trucks out and you would have something to blog about. Actually, that a brilliant idea Gary!
