my brilliant idea

(cups by Gary Rith)
As you might guess, I am full of brilliant ideas. (HAR!) So I dreamt last night that I was in the kitchen of one of my college dorms trying to get a cup of coffee that didn't taste like warm brown crayons and desperately trying to remember my BRILLIANT idea, whatever it was, and I spent the whole dream trying to get a decent cup of coffee until I gave up and went up to my room to see if I had written down MY BRILLIANT IDEA and I see that the room next to me had been given over to a heavy metal band (oh lord, please, noooo...this actually happened to me in college and after 2 weeks I moved to another dorm) and I never made it to my room, BUT I did wake up and:
1) remembered my brilliant idea and
2) made a spiffin' good pot of coffee and drank rather a lot of it.

I can almost never remember my dreams. Although, given the strangeness of yours, that's probably for the best. LOL

is there a particular method of brewing to make a "spiffin' good" pot of coffee?

It would have been more fun if you had been brewing BEER in your dorm! I wonder if someone would get in trouble for doing that?

what a dream! in response to your comment on my blog, yes it is fun to be in Ron's class. And, to make a handbuilt spout, just roll out a slab to the thickness you want and trace out the pattern like the one in the pic on my blog and then curl it to make that design....like making a long, mini telescope. The rounded part of the pattern is for the bottom of the spout when attaching it to the teapot. It's not hard at all, really. Will try to remember to post about it soon. I think Ron learned it from Allison McGowan.

Coffee that tastes like warm, brown crayons... are you sure you're not a poet? I think that impressed me almost as much as your pottery. That's saying a lot.

I remember using a brown paper towel as a filter.........EWWW! Then I was introduced to espressoo, YEOW! Thanks Missus Tastycake!
