the economy, Fiwa, Knight, Tink, Fortune Cookie, wtf????

I just realized that 4 of my best bloggy buddies have recently gotten laid off from work. This sh!t STINKS, but Fiwa, Tink, Fortune Cookie and Knight are job hunting.
There but for the grace of God go all of us, but I have to admit I am p!ssed off.
That is all.
Everything in my corner is much the same, love you all. gr

Awww... dude. I'm just happy to be included in the list of your best blogging buddies with such a fabulous list of ladies. Obviously, Tink, Knight, Fortune Cookies and I need to start some kind of company together. Thanks for growling for us though.

And please tell that picture of Penny is an old one? You don't have snow today, do you you?

Good luck to all of them. I can honestly say that getting laid off last year was the best thing that could have happened to me. I hope they all land on their feet.

I was off work for the past seven months and was able to get a maternity leave position a couple of days ago. By keeping a positive outlook and telling yourself you will find another job will make it so. There are opportunities out there, and wish you the best of luck in your searches.

I don't think I have any dealings with Fiwa, Knight or Fortune Cookies' former employers. But, I'm totally boycotting Tink's former employer's products.

Being laid off isn't easy for sure, I know I went through it several years back. I need a job now and can't find one even a temp one. Unemployment in our county is very high and they are raising the taxes a lot next month in our State. I wish your blogging buddies (you) all the best of luck in finding something wonderful and quickly - Amy too.

Best wishes to all. But the world can't be that bad of a place if there are things such as that awesome elephant-spout-faced teapot in it, right?

Thanks Gary. I'm hoping things start looking up for all of us. I guess you never know.

I'm seeing the laid-off damage creeping into my circle of friends too Gary.

Unfortunately, a positive outlook and telling yourself you will find another job
may temporarily help to keep up the spirit,
but facing that we're living in a crumbling economy has become a sad fact of life...

Thanks Gary! You're the bestest! It's like an honor to be among such a high caliber list of ladies, not to mention being mentioned as one of your bestest bloggy buddies! I think Fiwa has a great idea...but, what business can the lot of us get up and running in this economy? I'm game!

Aw. Thanks Gary! I know of at least two other bloggers who were just laid off, as well as a few RL friends. It's not something I wish on anyone. But the support of great people (like you) are a HUGE help.
