wee little piggy again and again....

(mug by Gary Rith)
You can tell I have finished my holiday orders, because as I sit there staring at things like a mug, asking it what embellishment it needs, and it tells me PIGGY, I add the piggy. I generally get up in the morning and make exactly what I want, and for some reason, that is something piggy most of the time. This mug is important because I used one of my favorite, if NOT my most favorite glaze, my speckly celadon. It had misbehaved a few times late in the summer and I didn't use it for a few months. Totally remixed now, and OH SO LUSCIOUS and lickable. I love celadons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post-Christmas is time for all the experiments I have been scribbling down for months. There are new glaze colors, shapes and forms to work on, PLUS an all zebra stripe cup I am fiddling with this weekend.

That IS a nice glaze.. though I'm not so sure I'd lick it. Maybe if it was on a bowl, and that bowl contained ice cream.. maybe then.. Probably. ;)

I'm glad you can relax and do fun experimental things now to your heart's content. :)
