Our star, Gary Rith, throwing a straight sided mug body in 1:29 minutes. I'll post a pic tomorrow after it is finished with the handle, teeth and eyes ;^)
I agree, it look's like child's play...that is, until you try and discover it's a helluva lot more difficult than it looks..! I had a go once and what was supposed to b a jug looked anything but..! Beautiful pottery - thanks for sharing..:)
Oh, such clever hands! I love watching the way the clay takes its various shapes from those hands. And, having had a fling at throwing a pot or two myself, I'm still amazed when the right things happen, and I have a pot and not a drunken glob all alop and ugly stepchildish, more fitting for an ogre's nest than someone nice person's home.
