le elephantes and other stuff

Whynot pottery blog mentions dreaming of elephant teapots, a favorite of mine. I make them different ways.

Dreamt last night I was in the Army reserve and called up and sent overseas and I was quite proud of it all even though it involved eating crummy food, sleeping on a canvas cot and carrying a heavy pack. Surprised myself with that dream, which was DISTINCTLY NOT anarcho-punk. I am reading a book about a reservist on trial for murder so maybe that crept into my dreams...

On my way now to the Cornell Pot Shop sale. I am hopeful that there will me many friendly people plus many happy little sales, esp. of MY STUFF. I shall be there again Friday.

Hey, Gary, Gary, Bo Bary...have you thought about whales? Couldn't you see a little whale on a sugar bowl or a whale in the bottom of a teacup? (I remember a story from my childhood called The Teacup Whale...)or even whale mugs (tails are handles?)...

The elephant sugar bowl I have is my favorite :-)

Mine was glazed in Apple green-
And I remember blowing in the nose to get the legs to pop out!

I'm trying to picture you in the Army and it just isn't working...
I'm told the food is pretty good, of course there probably isn't much in the way of vegetarian options.

Go make lot$ at the $ale!
