le blizzard

(My little Muffin with Penny and Spike the cat, and looking across the street)
I went to wake Muffin and found she was NOT alone in bed. She said "you're going to take a picture aren't you?"
I responded by singing Minnie Ripperton's "Loving You is easy 'cause you're beautiful........."
Muffin flipped over and covered her head.
Heavy snow out there. Penny was outside doing her business just now and I was outside in my jammies, camera in hand, and thinking it looked pretty over there. HP, a friend and neighbor who lives up on Mt Pleasant above our town is sick of the rednecks up on Mt Pleasant, or something, and she and her little girl and husband are thinking about buying the pretty house across from us on the left, with the groovy old porch. That way her husband and I could play bocce all summer and drink beers on that sweet porch. Thye probably have a big screen TV and cable too, unlike me, so I could watch all my football games at their house too. The house is supposed to go for sale soon. The house on the right belongs to Trevor and Allison and their little girl Roxy and they are the very best neighbors. He fixed my chimney and wouldn't take money but I gave them a box of bowls, and everybody was happy!

Are you Ithaca or Dryden schools, Gary? Hmmm . . .

You probably wouldn't want US as neighbors, though. My kids are loud. All the time.

PS - Jacob has a mohawk. I'm posting pictures today on my Facebook account. Per his request, we have to spike it up first. Oh dear.

It is Dryden schools! MOHAWK!
Actually, it was colder overnight, below zero, but as they say, it warmed up enough to snow---20s.

Gary, what about me as a neighbour? Would love it... My kids are grown up so they're not loud if they're around, my husband could fix this and that, you could make a pot just for me and I'd cook you a lovely European dinner! :-)

It is true, I need good neighbors. We are suppounded by good neighbors, but the fellow selling this house is totally reclusive. So I want somebody over there who invites me over to watch football on their enormous TV. That would be very neighborly of them.

I love that house and the porch. Hope your friends get it.

As to your request on my blog...there's a TON of pics of me and Brent on facebook -- feel free to look at 'em all. I'm not comfortable putting them on my blog (not to mention I'm too lazy to upload them twice). I will, however, endeavour to get some pictures of Wilson and Charlie on there for ya. :)

Hey - Brigitte!!! How are you? Haven't seen you 'round much.

You've got as much snow as us, Gary? We had 12 inches the other day and another 3 yesterday. This morning we had again 4 inches. The sun has finally peeked out!

I will be sure to keep in mind that we aren't aloud to move in if we don't have a large screen TV and calbe. We have a flat screen, bit it's not too big..........

We're supposed to get a rain blizzard, but it's not the same as snow - snow is so quiet - wish we'd get a snow storm. Those zebras are beautiful.

beer & bocce ball? I'm in!!
Our tv isn't very big, but 37 inches is good for something, right? And my boys are actually very quiet. I'm the noisy one.

With neighbours like that how can you go wrong. Nice to see the barter system still working.
