a faulty recipe and Patrick Swayze

All of us potters live in the shadow of GHOST with Patrick and Demi. When I taught high schoolers in the mid-90s, day one of class I played THAT segment, so that students knew this was NOT like history or geometry. Pottery was fun, and wicked sexy.
So this evening I am sitting in the front of Kyushu, waiting for the rice, broccoli, the wee little avocado rolls and tempura takeout, and I read US magazine. They have pics of some starlet in LA in a tiny little black dress and UGG boots coming out of Costco with a 48 roll package of TP (MAN, is that a career killer or what????) and that is how I hear, or maybe I heard and forgot, that my man Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer???? Seems like pancreatic is the worst.
Patrick and his wife have been together through thick and thin since they were teenagers. He is handsome, she is beautiful, he is charming, he loves horses. We have to hope that Patrick....... anyway.

SO, I wanted to make peanut butter cups at home. Recipe number one tastes good but is a MESS. I will not share the recipe with you. Doesn't look much like peanut butter cups, DOES IT? Don't worry, next week I will try recipe number two which looks easy and perfect.

Latest update is that Patrick Swayse is responding well to treatment and has finished shooting the first season of a new TV series. I don't think the "suits" would allow the production if the star was terminal. Sometimes, the good guys win!

my word verification is: amenten

Try a recipe for "buckeyes" another form of peanut butter center enrobed in chocolate. In defense of the aforementioned starlet...maybe she was just preparing to teepee someone's house?

But..but..it looks so yummy. You can not tease us like that. :( You should share the recipe. :)

I heard that Patick Swayze had Pancreatic cancer, but I thought that was a while ago. So I was assuming he was doing better as he has a new TV show and movie coming out.

Least i hope that is true.

Don't let MY chocolate and peanut butter co-mingle. Nope, nuh-uh. I'll eat them separate, thankyouverymuch.

I would just like to add that I have taken many girls to the pottery studio for some of the first dates. hahaha. It is really a great way to sweep 'em off their feet. Well.... I guess that is how potters get the chicks.

Two things.

First, I love your pottery. Love the little animals on the bowls and cups. Will have to look thru your shop. Both my older daughters have down syndrome and used to take pottery classes from a young woman whom was a wonderful teacher for about 3 years and she and would let them throw. Now they have a new instructor whom doesn't ever do the wheel with the disabled students. I'm so sad because my girls were getting so good at it, plus it is great for their fine motor skills, as is the other pottery but using the wheel made them have to think faster and balance quicker.

Second, I was wondering if you are vegan? I haven't looked thru the blog so maybe you say you are. Didn't see it in your profile. Just the ingredients you used made me think you were. I have an individual I take care of that is allergic to all diary so I have a hard time finding sweets that she likes. I have to make most, and so far the recipes I'm finding, aren't very good. I was thinking, it looks like the peanut butter cups there are diary free.
