c'est moi in five easy pieces, and you TOO!

A wee little meme from Barbara:

1. Are there any songs that make you cry?
Nick Drake "Pink Moon" (his story is so sad!) and the final duet from the movie "Juno"

2. Do you have any irrational fears?
LOADS!!!!! Just like Charlie Brown when he discovers he has all the phobias! Snakes, heights, children, many types of dogs and of course PEOPLE. I am deathly afraid of people.

3. How often to you talk to your parents (if they are living)
Not too often lately.

4. Name five foods you don't like.
How about meat, chicken, pork, fish, eel.

5. If Santa were real what would you want him to bring you this year?
Whirled peas!!!! I was very upset to discover there was no Santa.
But I'd say that if Santa gave me the antique pocket watch that I bought and gave my wife to wrap and give me, that'd be pretty cool.

SO HOW ABOUT YOU? CUT PASTE COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Are there any songs that make you cry?

2. Do you have any irrational fears?

3. How often to you talk to your parents (if they are living)

4. Name five foods you don't like.

5. If Santa were real what would you want him to bring you this year?

Ha! You buy your own gifts, too!
SnakeMaster still believes in Santa, which I think is absolutely precious. I tell the older 3 that it is in their best interests to believe in Santa.
And I once made a tie-dye T-shirt that said "Visualize Whirled Peas" ...at the time, I was making my own (well, okay, it was for EB) baby food, so it was extra funny. Or so I thought.

And your zebra banner/header pic made me laugh!

Thanks for ruining my Santa belief, Gary. Gosh, I'm 28 and I KNEW he was real... that is, until I read your post... boooooo...

I'm scared of kids myself! Why do you think we don't have any? But I eat meat and do love people (for the most part)!

I'm deathly afraid of spiders. They are so small and I am so big and it's COMPLETELY irrational. I freak out, break into a sweat, cry, scream... it's bad news if a spider is around. :)

...although spiders DO eat mosquitos which is a plus...

1. Are there any songs that make you cry? Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven

2. Do you have any irrational fears? Congregations of people.

3. How often do you talk to your parents (if they are living). Mom, once or twice a month.

4. Name five foods you don't like. Canned peas, lutefisk, sweet potato's with the marshmellows on top, sakura (or gustafskorv), and foie gras. I'm sure I can think of more, but here are the top five that come to mind.

5. If Santa were real what would you want him to bring you this year? A pug mill, a slab roller, two lathes, and an extruder. Oh, and more floor space.

Hey Gary, thanks for the heads up about blogger refusing my comments.

I also fear people. Especially the child variety.

Sorry I have been a bad blog buddy. I hope you've been well. And you've made friends with Jay! Two of my favorite bloggers - I love it.

1. Are there any songs that make you cry? Silly Love Songs - Wings

2. Do you have any irrational fears? Those big palmetto bug/roaches they have in the south. EEEEEEK!

3. How often to you talk to your parents (if they are living) My father passed away 11 years ago, but I talk to my mom on the phone for two hours every saturday morning. She is my best friend. :)

4. Name five foods you don't like.
Okra is the spawn of the devil. Lima beans are a close second. Bell pepper, fennel and all similar licorice tasting spices, eggplant. And I think eggplant is a beautiful vegetable and I'm really sad that I can't stand the taste.

5. If Santa were real what would you want him to bring you this year? Gary, Santa IS real. You must believe. This year I would like Santa to bring a new job. Something that I would actually enjoy doing every day. Or at least something that doesn't give me stomach ulcers.

Happy holidays to you and your muffin!

love,
fiwa

I'm with ya on all the irrational fears - but add 'closed in spaces' to the list. Like ELEVATORS!!! I don't do elevators. Unless I need to get to the 20th floor or something crazy like that - but only if someone is with me. Heck - I don't want to crash and burn alone! lol

Yes Virginia - There is a Santa Claus. (BTW - how is Virginia? We haven't heard from her lately?

Aw - glad the doggies like the doggies and that pig had your name on it! ;)

1. It's a country song about being right by a tree or something waiting for the one they love. I forget, it gets me so emotional I blocked it from memory.

2. closet monsters (and no, sadly it's not a joke)

3. Every single day

4. Brussel sprouts, fish, shellfish, water creatures of any kind, melons of all kinds

5. He already brought it, a couch, an xbox, and a cricut.

*CM that's not irrational...I still have a problem with it. I just cut the pizza up into small bits, then eat it. Much easier! lol

Totally with you on both accounts of number #1. I love me some Nick Drake and the entire Juno soundtrack is awesome. I love the Sea of Love remake too.
