KOKO TAYLOR, RIP

My Missus seems to meet all the stars. Years ago she bumped into the blues singer Koko Taylor on Lincoln Ave in Chicago, and called Koko the next morning to find out where she was performing next--expecting that the phone number in the book was an office or something, but she had awakened Koko. Blues singers don't get up early, but some of them seem to live and perform nearly forever, and that's true for Koko Taylor who just died at the age of 80, and if you love Chicago Blues, you love Koko Taylor.

'Tis a sad day. I think heaven just got a little more fun though! She was quite the talent.
