TOMMY comes ovah....again

Tommy was here Sunday and I showed him how to mix some glazes and so we made black and red and clear and he fired them Monday and came over today to show me some results, plus he was desperate for a bamboo handle of which I have an abundance. He uses a dark brownish-red clay and his glaze results look quite stunning. Glazes and glazing can be tricky, but he hit a home run first time out!

We have an overabundance of reddish-brown clay in our yard. We should have brought you some (esp. if you have some good dirt to exchange for it)!

Also, NOW our grocery store has Shiner Bock in stock again. Why oh WHY did they run out of it right before we came to visit you??? I wanted to bring you some Texas beer. *le sigh*

What is the glaze on the teapot in that last picture & how was it fired? That is a honey of a glaze!

Whoo! Mutant teapots! There's something scary in your water supply, two spouters indeed... Next thing there'll be double ended mugs..
