a day in my life: FRIDAY, hour by hour, 7-10 am

Part one: early morning.
Woke up and decided to take a pic of whatever I was looking at on the hour, all day. It has been more interesting than I thought so far...this is installment number one, so we start at the bottom and move through the day.....

10 am--our village and postal district of Etna, NY 13062, is so small, about 300 people, about 1/4 mile by a 1/2 mile, that we have no delivery. There is one employee and a sub for Saturday. We all have to walk to the community center and PO where we have a free post box. This is just around the corner and across the bridge from our house, and tres convenient for a guy shipping boxes every day :)

9 am-errands with the missus and then drop her at work. Went to the beer store :) Labor Day weekend doncha know......

8am--walking Penny and Buster to the park. We do this walk several times a day, adding up to about 5-6 miles total. There was a flattened snake on the street and the dogs want to eat it.

7am--Breakfast with Missus Tastycake. She had just washed her hair, I had roasted potatos and made an omelette and toast--a lotta food, plus a wee little pot of coffee. When I was in high school I worked in a diner as dishwasher plus did some short order cooking. I love cooking. My breakfasts arre pretty good :)

So far a pretty good day. I just love how you talk so lovingly about your Wife. The Missus Tastycake. Very sweet :)

I hope that you don't have to use the bathroom on the hour.

You walk 5-6 miles a day??!! That is so great for you and your doggies!
I'll do good if I can walk Piper 2 blocks without her trying to eat the least and sit down while I'm walking. LOL

I'll be over for breakfast tomorrow.
What kind of beer? I bought some today as well.

Maude looks classy even in the morning! What is her secret?
I wake up looking like I've been at war.

I'll bet your postal shipping is what's keeping your post office open! The Postal "Service" is providing less and less service to small towns.

I'm thinking we should have driven back to your house for breakfast instead of walking downtown Ithaca looking for a sidewalk cafe! We had the same food...
