time and place!

(MY PURPLE HOUSE, and the river behind the house)
Tink's weekly challenge is Time and Place. I cannot believe I live in such a pretty house in such a pretty place--esp. now: the colors are peaking!
Note the small and cute beagle in front of the house.....

You're ahead of us by a week or two with the colors. We've got a little here and there, but not much.

The river looks beautiful.

Wow, Wow, and WOW!!! We are just getting hints of color here, with the exception of a few brilliant red leaves. Wish we could roadtrip up there and see it all for ourselves.
I have to run out and take one more photo (one I've been meaning to take for weeks now) and then I'll be posting mine.

I've been trying to catch up, but you post so often I don't know how long it will take me to read everything you posted over the weekend! I have time limits here, you know! LOL

It looks make-believe! So dream-like beautiful!

WOW. A pro photographer's dream to see leaves like that. Here on the west coast, it's mostly green, green, green, green, green, brown, dead.

Lovely photos Gary. We don't have too much red in the autumn around here which is too bad.

Your pictures make me so happy....color freak that I am!! Love the photo banner of you too!! You taking Patrick Swayze's place are ya? haha Really so welcoming this new blog...I LOVE FALL....you have just reminded me why! Did I ever tell you most of the inside of my house has been painted one shade or another of purple. We changed the kitchen from purple (secretly I miss is a bit) which had been there about seven years, to apple green (which I love as well). Yes I have conflicting emotions about color. I wish I could change it on a whim....with the touch of a wand!!Green today, purple tomorrow just like a mood ring!

Hugs Giggles

Such beautiful colors! I miss that. Maybe I should paint my house like a bunch of falling leaves.

This is depressing.

I'm in Texas. We broke a heat record today.

*sigh* that's gorgeous.

That does look like an idyllic place to hang your hat.Very pretty. From the angle of the shot it appears the house has some height over the river level, which is something i'd like after having experienced damage from flooding. I'd be out exploring on that river all the time. Does the river support a healthy ecosystem..fish , amphibians..birds.. turtles etc?

I love seeing fall colors, we don't get that in Vegas. Trees go to green with leaves to dead brown on the ground!

You are lucky to live in such a beautiful place and in a purple house!
