Fiddling around in the studio, you know, and I was like "I could video myself squaring off a piece using Ron's 'whack it with a board when wet' method, but he did that demo really well", so I am in the mood to make bottles and so I DO, and here is the movie, although it cut out just before I finished the rim. :)
That was really interesting. And I fully intended on making a dirty joke about the whole thing, but after seeing your talent with pottery, I just can't bring myself to such sacrilige.
Beautiful bottle! Love the videos -- especially the cliff-hanger endings!!! ;-) Miri

ReplyDeleteI can't believe I just saw that. You really did blow it up like a balloon... I'll have to try. :)
ReplyDeleteOnce again, amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh that was *so* interesting to see -- honestly, I was watching in ultra-concentration. And if I may say, the bottle would make a fantastic lamp base.
ReplyDeleteYour pottery is amazing. We get a smile on our face every time we pull out the penguin bowl.
ReplyDeleteI also like the lighting on the photos of your pottery. Do you use natural light, external lamps, or flashes?
i watched the whole thing waiting to see you blow into it and it cut off... not that we don't already know what that looks like, came out nice though
ReplyDeletethat is such a groovy shape
