You know what snafu stands for, don't you? Military for situation normal all f###ed up. Just another day, or weekend, or week in the life of a self-employed businessman:
-so as I say, I was sick last week, I am mostly over that, BUT I gave it to the missus for her birthday and she is terribly sick now
-my credit card on file with another business was STOLEN Saturday and is now canceled and a mess
-yesterday, the kiln I had just fixed broke down again
-there is a mysterious LEAK below the kitchen sink
and of course today
-the internet has been down almost 20 hours.
SO, naturally, I am nursing the wife, the kiln was a fairly easy repair and now the internet is back. I am going to try to fix that sink leak, because I am a little bit handy sometimes.
You just love it when things start go smoothly again. Amen!
I shall, of course, try to catch up with your blogs and thanks for your patience!
Thank you for the cough drops, you are my hero!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping the Missus is well soon. And aren't you just handy?? Hope the black cloud floats on by soon.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well soon! Feel better Mrs. Pottsblog! Shame on Gary for passing it on to you! :P
ReplyDeleteWant some Xanax? I'm getting a new prescription and I'll share.
ReplyDelete20 HOURS ???? !!!! OMG! Gary! However did you survive???
ReplyDeleteSorry you gave Mrs. P. your cold! That wasn't very nice of you, you know. I'll bet you kissed her, didn't you!
Feel better, Maude!
I recommend a double dram your toddies tonight.
ReplyDeleteAww poor Pottersfamily. I hope everyone is tip-top soon.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is like the perfect storm of things going wrong. The big snowstorm really messed up the city today, but that meant we had a SNOW DAY (yea!) so I slept in and cuddled up with two purring kitties. They weren't upset about the snow at all.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you were today... Hope it all gets better.
ReplyDeleteFeel better all the potter people! Let the Missus pet Penny's soft puppy ears. That should do the trick.
ReplyDeleteOh my, you really went through a rough day...
ReplyDeleteTrust me, after some local incidents I know how it feels when absolutely everything goes wrong...
but then again, today is a bright and shiny new day!
ReplyDeleteGary Rith: potter, large appliance repairman, plumber and nursemaid.
ReplyDeleteFell better, Maude!
What a bummer. Hope everyone and thing is back on track.
ReplyDeleteLife is just so darned complicated! :) Hang in there! You ARE superman!
ReplyDeleteSpike looks like a nice way to warm up, if he doesn't squish the person he is warming!
ReplyDeletePoor Maude ~ hope you feel better soon!
I am well-versed in SNAFU and FUBAR (which is exactly what your kiln might be, I am sorry to say)!
Credit cards seem like such a great thing... until they cause all sorts of trouble.
