Woke up with the alarm and sang this to my little Pound Cake. Therefore, it has been stuck in my head all day--totally sweet song, these guys could belt it out couldn't they? This particular performance, to give a little perspective, came out the week I was born----and I am OLD.
I love the Mamas & The Papas. My mom used to play them all the time so I associate them with childhood and something about Mama Cass chocking on a chicken bone.

ReplyDeleteMama Cass didn't choke on a chicken bone - the rumor was a ham sandwich. But neither is true. She died of a heart attack.
I wish someone would sing me awake! Now I have this song stuck in my head too.
