veggie broth

There was some discussion of moose pasta stew, made with veggies and beans and how it makes all the sicky people in the house feel great. If you are a vegetarian and don't have chicken soup but veggie soup makes you feel better, maybe it is soup, not chicken that does the trick? And of course, my petite dumpling remembered this cartoon.

Ha! when I was 15 I was in the hospital for my appendix. Someone brought me this card, and it hurt so much to laugh! For years I had a coffee mug version, but last year I dropped it in the sink and broke it. :( Thanks for the laugh!

Im sure I heard somewhere that it's a combination of heat, moisture and fat that helps, Gary.

I miss the Far Side, too.

Whatever soup is made from, it is good during colds or flus.

You just can't beat a good soup! The broth is good for tender tummies and the veggies have all those great vitamins to help you fight illness.

Mmmmm....soup. Maybe we'll have soup again for supper tonight? (H-J has nibbled crackers and slurped up applesauce all day long.)

Oooh! I thought maybe it was just a misspelling of mousse! And was having a hard time figuring out how soup and mousse could be made compatible. But soup, especially this time of year is always a most welcome dish and at my house frequently is the meal.
